Srimad Andavan Skill Matrix Academy (SASMA) successfully conducted the Inauguration of Skill Development Courses at Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College, Trichy, on 12 August 2026

.

The programme focused on empowering women through specialized training in Aari Work, Beautician Skills, Jute Bag Making, and Tailoring. Dr. S. Lakshmi, Director, SASMA, welcomed the gathering, and Dr. G. Jothi, Senior Vice-Principal, offered felicitations.
The programme was presided by our principal, Dr. M. Pitchaimani. Mr. N. Vishnukumar, Divisional Manager, KVB, Trichy, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the special address.He emphasized the significance of acquiring specialized skills for improving employability and promoting self-employment among women.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both the students and public and marked a significant step towards skill development, self-employment, and women’s empowerment. 

Heartfelt thanks to the Management and Secretary for granting permission, our Principal for the valuable support, the Senior Vice-Principal, Vice-Principals, Deans IQAC, HoDs, Automation team and SASMA Members for their cooperation.
