Awareness Programme and Pledge Taking against Anti Drug*

The Anti Drug Club of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College (Autonomous) in association with Tiruchirappalli City Police organized an “ *Awareness Programme and Pledge Taking against Anti Drug* ” today (11.08.2026) at 09.30 am in Sri Padhuka Arangam (AC Auditorium). The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free campus environment.

The programme was graced by *Mr. B. Seetharaman* , Assistant Commissioner of Police, Srirangam Circle, Trichy and *Mr. R. Surendar* , Inspector of Police, Srirangam. They addressed the gathering and explained the legal consequences of drug trafficking and consumption, the physical, mental and social impacts of drug abuse, and the role of youth in building a drug-free society. They also highlighted the helpline numbers and support systems available for those in need.

Followed by the pledge the state-wide initiative, the live telecast of the Anti-Drug Pledge taken by the *Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu* was screened for all the students in the presence of the Principal, Senior Vice Principal,Vice Principal,Deans.

The programme was highly informative and created a strong impact among the students.

We sincerely thank our Honorable Secretary, Advisor, Respected Principal, Senior Vice Principal, Vice Principals, Deans, HOD's Faculty Members, IMF Team, NCC,NSS Volunteers, Technical Support Team and Non-Teaching Staff for their unwavering support, encouragement, dedication, and teamwork, which contributed immensely to the grand success of this Programme.

Effective Public Speaking – EPS 2025

The Junior Jaycees Wing of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli) in association with JCI Rocktown organized a one-day training programme on “Effective Public Speaking – EPS 2025” The programme was inaugurated with a Presidential Address by Dr. M.
