The program began with a warm welcome address delivered by Mrs. G. Meenakshi, Assistant Professor of Sanskrit and Coordinator of Andavan Yogalaya. This was followed by an inspiring presidential address from Dr. G. Jothi, Senior Vice Principal, who emphasized the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental health, and a balanced lifestyle.
The event was honored by the presence of Dr. R. Krishnan, Vice Principal, who felicitated the gathering and encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines for a healthier life. The chief guests, *Ms. G. Meenakshi and Ms. Baghyalakshmi, Trainers Heartfulness* delivered insightful talks on the origin, philosophy, and significance of yoga. They highlighted yoga’s vital role in fostering physical, mental, and emotional well-being and stressed the importance of making it a regular practice. Practical yoga sessions were conducted, providing participants with hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of yoga techniques.
A total of 43 students benefited from the event, gaining valuable knowledge about the numerous benefits of yoga.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Barathkumar P.ET who expressed gratitude to the College Management, Secretary and Correspondent, Advisor, Principal, Vice Principals, Deans and Heads of the departments for their support.
