A Two-day International Conference CONVERGENCE 2026 – Innovation, Sustainability and Global Excellence
the School of Commerce and Management in association with SMART Journal of Business Management Studies was successfully conducted with insightful inaugural, technical, plenary and panel sessions over hybrid mode.
The Inaugural Ceremony began with the lighting of lamp by the dignitaries in the Virtual Presence of our Beloved Secretary and Correspondent.
The welcome address by Dr.Subha K,Dean of Commerce and Management followed by the Inaugural address by the respected Principal,SAASC and Dr.Selvam, BDU.
The ceremony was further followed by the felicitation given by the Sr.Vice Principal and a keynote address by the chief guest Dr.Balasundaram Maniam,USA who was formally introduced by Dr.M.Usharani,Head,B.Com CA and a vote of thanks by Dr S.Ramya,Head , Commerce.
**Day 1:* The first session by Dr. Balasundaram Maniam, Sam Houston State University, USA, He delivered a technical session on “The Convergence Advantage: Innovation, Sustainability & Global Excellence in a Changing World.”
Followed by Mr. Mahesh Balakrishnan addressed cybersecurity and risk management, while Mr. Vaidyanathan Chandramouli spoke on trust, resilience and responsible practices in FinTech.
A plenary research paper presentation session was also conducted by the Chair, Dr.M.Neela,Asso.Prof of Commerce, Cauvery college for women.
*Day 2* : Dr. M. Selvam, former Head, Department of Commerce & Financial Studies, BDU, delivered a session on “Innovating Ideas for Business Success.”
This was followed by a plenary session and a panel discussion on contemporary developments in commerce, management and transformation chaired by Dr.C.Paramasivan, Professor of Commerce,EVR college.
The valedictory ceremony took place with a formal welcome by Mr.G.Deepak,Head, Management and Summary report by the Dean of Commerce and Management followed by a valedictory address by the Principal.
The dignitaries presented the Best Paper Award to the recipients following the Certificate Distribution to the participants and conclude with a vote of thanks by Dr.M.Manimekalai,
Head,Bank Management.
*Finally, the conference witnessed 367 participants from Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Puducherry, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu with 36 research papers presented across the nation.*
The conference provided a valuable platform for research, knowledge sharing, innovation and academic collaboration.
