Vaccination Awareness Programme on “Preventive Measures for Cervical Cancer”


The Women Development Cell (WDC) of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College (Autonomous) organized the Vaccination Awareness Programme on “Preventive Measures for Cervical Cancer” at 11.00 a.m. in Sri Paduka Arangam.
The session commenced with a Welcome Address, the Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. M. Pitchaimani, Principal who emphasized the importance of vaccination and prevention of women’s health and empowerment, followed by felicitation by Dr. G.Jothi, Director – Life Sciences & Senior Vice-Principal – Academics and Dr.K.Subha, Dean of Commerce & Management. They highlighted the importance of women’s health hygiene and provided an input towards the overview of cervical cancer vaccination. 
 
The Special Address was delivered by Dr. Margatham Senthilvel, MBBS, DGO, of MS Hospital, Butterworth Road, Trichy. She highlighted the importance of regular screening, timely check-ups, and recognizing the warning signs of cervical cancer, emphasizing that early detection can save lives. The session also covered the recommended age for cervical cancer vaccination, its safety, and its effectiveness. Participants gained valuable awareness about the importance of timely vaccination and preventive healthcare.

At this juncture, we express our gratitude to the Management, Secretary and Correspondent, Advisor, Principal, Sr. Vice Principal, Vice Principals, CoE, Deans, IQAC Co-ordinator and HOD’s for their constant encouragement and support in all our activities.
