*The Mosaic Minura Association of the Department of Microbiology*, successfully inaugurated HEALTH CAMP–2026 (BMI & Haemoglobin Analysis) today for the first-year undergraduate students.



Greetings!!!


The programme was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of our Respected Secretary & Correspondent and Mrs Geetha Venkatesh, Respected Principal, Senior Vice Principal, Vice Principals and Dean of Life Sciences. Their gracious presence and encouraging words motivated both the faculty members and students, making the inaugural session a memorable one.

The Health Camp is being organized as an annual outreach initiative under *SDG Goal 3 – Good Health and Well-being*, with the active involvement of the faculty members and student volunteers of the Department of Microbiology. The camp aims to create awareness among students regarding their health status through *Body Mass Index (BMI) and Haemoglobin (Hb)* assessment, thereby promoting early identification of nutritional deficiencies and encouraging healthy lifestyle practices.

On Day 1, a total of *252 first-year undergraduate students* from various departments underwent BMI and Haemoglobin screening. The camp was conducted smoothly with enthusiastic participation from the students and dedicated support from the faculty members and student volunteers.

The Health Camp will continue tomorrow for the remaining first-year undergraduate students from other departments.
