The Department of English inaugurated the Pegasus Literary Association at the MCA AV Hall. The chief guest was Mr. Srikanthan, Former HR Coordinator, BARC Training School, IGCAR, Kalpakkam. Dr. R. Krishnan, Vice Principal, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the department’s commitment to the academic and holistic development of its students. Dr. V. Raman, Dean of Arts, gave the felicitation address, highlighting the department’s academic excellence and dynamic literary initiatives.
The Investiture Ceremony formally inducted the office bearers with the presentation of badges. Adding to the occasion’s significance, distinguished alumna Ms. M. Monisha (M.A. English, 2024–2026) donated 25 books to the Department Library, promoting a culture of reading and scholarship.
The chief guest’s inaugural address, titled “Communication Competence: Key to Leadership and Success,” underscored the vital role of effective communication in fostering leadership, confidence, and professional excellence.
Earlier, Dr. M. Jayachandran, Head of the Department of English, welcomed the gathering, and Ms. Indhumathi M., Assistant Professor and Secretary of the Pegasus Literary Association, proposed the vote of thanks.
