The Department of Biochemistry organized the Investiture Ceremony and Knowledge Enrichment Programme today. The event commenced with the gracious presence and felicitations of our Principal, Senior Vice Principal & Director of Life Sciences, and Dean of Life Sciences.
The highlight of the programme was an insightful keynote lecture by Dr. R. Kumaresan, Professor of Biochemistry, Institute of Health, Jimma University, Ethiopia, who served as the resource person. He delivered an engaging and thought-provoking session on "AI in Biomedical Research." The lecture provided valuable insights into the transformative role of artificial intelligence in biomedical research and was highly informative, interactive, and well received by the audience.
The programme also featured the Investiture Ceremony of the Watson Club of Biochemistry, during which the newly elected office bearers were formally inducted into their respective positions. The ceremony marked the beginning of their leadership journey, symbolizing their commitment to academic excellence, teamwork, and service. It also inspired the student community to actively participate in the club's academic, research, and extracurricular initiatives, fostering leadership, innovation, and collaborative learning within the department.
The event concluded on a successful note, leaving the participants enriched with new knowledge and motivated for the academic year ahead.
On behalf of the Department of Biochemistry, we express our heartfelt gratitude to the Secretary and Correspondent, Principal, Senior Vice Principal, Vice Principals, Dean of Life Sciences, IQAC Coordinator, and Controller of Examinations for their constant support and guidance.
