Kargil Vijay Diwas

Good morning everyone, Today is a great day to remember the fierce bravery of our armed forces during the Kargil War.

        *Kargil Vijay Diwas* 
In May 1999, the peaceful silence of the icy Kargil mountains was shattered when Pakistani forces secretly crossed the Line of Control to capture India's high-altitude outposts. Once alerted, the nation united in fierce determination, launching 'Operation Vijay' to reclaim every inch of its sacred soil. Facing an uphill battle, brave Indian soldiers charged up steep, vertical cliffs, climbing directly into heavy enemy fire with the war cry of patriotism echoing through the peaks. Guided by the thunderous air strikes of the Indian Air Force, these warriors fought with unmatched valor, recapturing strategic strongholds like Tololing and Tiger Hill. Hundreds of young heroes made the ultimate sacrifice, coding their love for the motherland in blood. 
 *Major Saravanan* gave his life defending the nation, forever turning Trichy into a hallowed ground of ultimate sacrifice.

On July 26, 1999, India successfully evicted the last of the intruders and proudly hoisted the tricolour flag against the Himalayan sky, establishing Kargil Vijay Diwas as an eternal symbol of India's indomitable courage and victory.

On this proud and memorable day of Kargil Vijay Diwas(27th Anniversary), we salute the Indian Army for their unbreakable courage and devotion to the motherland.
