lndian knowledge system


Today (23.02.2026), Department of Mathematics organized a Guest lecture programme to enhance the *lndian knowledge system* for Mathematics and Sanskrit students.
At the event, *Dr.A.V.Raman* Professor and Head, Department of Sanskrit was the Resource person and delivered a special address on *Mathematics in Sanskrit*. He explained briefly about how Sri Vedanta Desika, has organized and demonstrated in many of his works the structure of Shlokas (verses) and their meanings through numerical coding of letters and various Chitras (artistic/pictorial representations).
Before that Ms.R.Kalaivani delivered the welcome address. 
The Principal, Dr.M.Pitchaimani, rendered the presidential address. Deans, Dr.S.Madhu and Dr.S.Lakshmi conveyed their felicitations. Dr.D.Nagarajan proposed the vote of thanks at the end.

At this juncture I would like to thank all for the wonderful completion of this event.
