The first day of the Two-Day National Conference on Bharatiya Bhasha Pariwar was held on 29th January 2026, organized by Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, in association with Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal and Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The programme commenced with the prayer song. Dr. M. Selvam welcomed the gathering. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. N. Panchanatham, Vice Chancellor, The Gandhigram Rural Institute, Dindugal. Special address was delivered by eminent academician Dr. K. Parthasarathy, Former Vice- Chancellor, TNOU, Chennai. The cynosure of the inauguration was the book ( Bharathiya Bhasha Pariwar Volume I & Volume II ) releasing ceremony by the dignitaries followed by the content discussion session featuring distinguished academicians Dr.Shiva Ram Male, University of Hyderabad, and Dr.Mendam Babuji, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. "2026- Padma Shri Awardee" Dr.Punniyamurthy Natesan renowned veterinary scientist and pioneer in Ethno-Veterinary Medicine (EVM) was honoured for his contribution to herbal veterinary medicine programmes. In his address he fondly reminisced about his visit to our college a decade ago. Our respected Principal Dr.M.Pitchaimani proposed vote of thanks.
The afternoon sessions included plenary lectures and discussions on Bharatiya Bhasha Pariwar, linguistic unity, diversity, and translation, followed by paper presentations by the faculty, research scholars and PG students chaired by senior academicians. The day concluded with scholarly interactions and discussions, marking a meaningful beginning to the conference.
We express our sincere gratitude to the management, the Secretary & Correspondent, the Principal,the Senior - Vice Principal, Vice - Principals, The Controller of Examinations, Deans, IQAC coordinator, HoDs and Office staff for their unwavering guidance and support. We also thank our PRO, Transport manager, Office staff, System Administration team, IMF team,and other non teaching staff for their support.
