The Professional Development Programme on “Classroom to Corporate – Professional Identity” was organized by the Prabandha Samiti of the Department of Management, Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College (Autonomous), on 22 December 2025 at Sri Varaha Mahadesikan Hall.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, invoking divine blessings.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Mr. Rishi KU (III BBA-B), Chairman, Prabandha Samiti Student Association, who warmly welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of professional identity in today’s competitive job market.
This was followed by a Felicitation Address by Dr. K. Subha, Dean, Department of Commerce & Management, and Mr. G. Deepak, Head, Department of Management, who appreciated the initiative taken by the department and encouraged students to actively participate and benefit from the session.
The Chief Guest and Resource Person, Dr. S. Karunakaran, Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology, Chennai, was introduced by Ms. Abirami R (II BBA-B), Vice Chairman, Prabandha Samiti Student Association.
The session was led by the chief guest and resource person, Dr. S. Karunakaran, Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology, Chennai, who shared valuable insights drawn from his academic expertise and understanding of corporate requirements, emphasizing the importance of professional identity, adaptability, and leadership mindset. The programme was made highly interactive through the conduct of management games related to the topic, which enabled students to apply theoretical concepts in practical situations, improve teamwork and decision-making skills, and gain experiential learning.
