Greetings!
In commemoration of Consumer Day (24th December 2025), the Citizen Consumer Club of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College (Autonomous), in association with the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Trichy, successfully organized a Special Awareness Programme titled “Be Smart, Be Aware: Know Your Consumer Rights.”
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. R. Srinivasan, District Revenue Officer, Trichy. The session was presided over by Dr. M. Pitchaimani, Principal, and Dr. G. Jothi, Senior Vice-Principal, felicitated the gathering. A special address was delivered by Manitha Vidiyal Dr. P. Mohan, Member, District Food Safety Advisory Committee, Trichy, who highlighted key aspects of consumer rights, responsibilities, and protection mechanisms.
The office bearers of the Consumer Club were selected and badges were issued accordingly. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the Quiz Competition.
The programme was informative and impactful, equipping students with valuable knowledge and awareness. More than 125 students actively participated, ensuring the successful conduct of the programme.
On this occasion, we express our sincere gratitude to the Management, Secretary and Correspondent, Advisor, Principal, Senior Vice-Principal, Vice-Principals, Controller of Examinations, Deans, IQAC Coordinator, and Heads of the various Departments for their continued guidance, encouragement, and support.
