We are pleased to inform you that the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Students’ ExNoRa Club of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Service, successfully organized an Awareness Programme on “Celebrate Diwali – Towards Zero Fire Accidents”.
The event was graced by:
Chief Guest: Mr. P. Sathyawardhanan, Assistant District Officer, Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Service, Tiruchirappalli
Guest: Mr. J. Regina Thomas, Station Officer (T), Fire Station, Srirangam.
Our college Teaching staff, Non teaching staff and Approximately 59 students benefited from this session. The programme helped staff and students to:
• Understand fire hazards and safety precautions during Diwali celebrations.
• Learn practical steps to prevent accidents in homes and communities.
• Gain awareness about emergency response protocols and whom to contact in case of fire.
• Develop a sense of social responsibility and civic awareness.
• Enhance their knowledge about safety equipment and fire prevention tools.
This initiative reflects our commitment to student engagement, community awareness, and responsible citizenship.
At this juncture, we sincerely thank our Management, Secretary and Correspondent, Advisor, Principal, Senior Vice Principal, Vice Principals, Deans, Heads and Transport & Estate Manager for their constant encouragement and support in successfully carrying out this activity.
