The Pegasus Literary Association of the Department of English organised the *Grammar Guru* competition exclusively for the III UG students on 13 August 2025. The primary objective of the event was to augment and evaluate the participants’ proficiency in grammar and their competence in written expression.
The programme commenced with an address by *Dr. V. Upendran, Vice Principal* , who articulated the significance of grammatical mastery in effective communication and conveyed his best wishes to the contestants.
The competition encompassed multiple stages meticulously designed to challenge and assess the grammatical expertise and writing acumen of the participants. A total of 30 students representing various departments took part with commendable enthusiasm.
*Mr. N. Venkata Rangan and Ms. J. Subiksha of III B.Com (E) were adjudged as the Grammar Guru of the Year, while Ms. D. Yazhini and Ms. R. Aparjitha of III B.A. English secured the Runner-up position.*
The event proved to be both intellectually stimulating and engaging, affording participants a valuable platform to refine their grammatical competence and critical thinking skills.
The Department extends its profound gratitude to the Management, Secretary and Correspondent, Advisor, Principal, Vice Principals, Deans, Heads of Departments, and faculty members for their steadfast support and encouragement, which contributed to the resounding success of the programme.
